Kris Vandevoorde is currently a technical advisor at KTA Brugge, where he pioneered the introduction of Esports as an optional subject in Belgian secondary education. His innovative approach has resulted in the formation of partnerships that have led to the development of a professional infrastructure and a comprehensive educational framework. Vandevoorde also organized "Esports: The Conference!," a landmark B2B event that brought together over 60 companies to discuss and strengthen the future of Esports in Belgium.
I am honored to take on the role of Commissioner Institutional Relations at the Belgian Esports Federation," said Vandevoorde. "With over 20 years of experience in education and a track record of establishing impactful partnerships with industry, I am excited to bring my expertise to the world of Esports. My strong relationships with national and international government institutions and other key stakeholders have already led to the unique integration of Esports in Belgian secondary education. I look forward to continuing to promote Esports in society, forging new partnerships, and managing government projects with federations, educational institutions, knowledge institutions, and social organizations. Together, we can elevate Belgian Esports to new heights.
Vandevoorde's appointment marks a significant step forward for the BESF as it continues to advocate for the growth and recognition of Esports in Belgium. His extensive background in fostering collaborations between educational institutions and the industry is expected to play a crucial role in the federation's ongoing efforts to enhance the Esports ecosystem in the country.
The BESF is confident that under Vandevoorde's leadership, the organization will continue to build on its mission to promote Esports as a valuable and integral part of Belgian society. His expertise and vision are anticipated to drive the federation's initiatives and projects to new levels of success and influence.
