The BeSF organised the Esports Family Day on 20 November.&nbsp;The event brought together parents and children on the themes of video games and esports and allowed them to spend a convivial day.&nbsp;Actors and representatives of the Belgian esport world were present to answer their questions.&nbsp;The day was a great success!

Manu Lecomte Joins BESF as Advisor for Sports and Olympics CommissionThe Belgian Esports Federation (BESF) is proud to welcome professional basketball player and sports management expert Manu Lecomte as an advisor for the Sports and Olympics Commission. With a background that includes playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League and an extensive career across Europe, Manu brings a wealth of knowledge from both traditional sports and his growing passion for Esports.<blockquote>"After I met Manu for the first time, I directly understood his important role in a basketball team. We can be very happy to have him in this new Commission bringing sports &amp; Esports&nbsp;a&nbsp;step&nbsp;closer&nbsp;!" - Samy Bessi</blockquote>Manu, a graduate of the University of Miami and Baylor University, has combined his athletic career with studies in sports management, giving him unique insights into the business and competitive aspects of sports. His experience in both fields makes him ideally suited to help bridge the gap between traditional sports and Esports at BESF.<blockquote>"It’s an honor to join today the BESF commission on sports. The Belgian Esports Federation (BESF) is thrilled to welcome Nalin Chaturvedi as the new Vice-Chair of the Player Engagement and Community Development Commission. With experience across six countries and three continents, Nalin has made his mark in the sports, entertainment, and esports industries. His background, which includes semi-professional football in India and coaching, has been instrumental in shaping his approach to building strong communities and connections within the esports world.Nalin’s journey in esports began in South India, where he organized local LAN tournaments. Later, he co-founded an esports coaching company in Iceland, focusing on promoting positive social values through gaming. His work at the Rio 2016 Olympics deepened his passion for sports, leading him to pursue further opportunities in event operations and sports retail. His multifaceted experience allows him to blend his traditional sports expertise with modern esports trends seamlessly.A major milestone in Nalin’s career was his time at the International Olympic Committee (IOC), where he contributed to athlete engagement efforts at major global sporting events, including the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Olympics. He played a pivotal role in shaping the IOC’s virtual sports strategy and helped organize the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series in 2021, marking a significant intersection between traditional sports and esports on the Olympic stage.Currently working with ESL FACEIT Group, one of the world’s leading esports tournament organizers, Nalin manages relationships with game publishers and supports the growth of global esports ecosystems. His recent involvement in the first-ever Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia further highlights his expertise in the field. At BESF, Nalin will focus on energizing local esports communities and deepening player engagement, strengthening Belgium's vibrant esports landscape. &nbsp;
